STAGING FAQ'S...
Why should I stage my home?
In tcday’s
competitive marketplace, staging is even more essential to a
quick sale. Housing inventory is at record highs so your
home needs to stand out from the vast number of homes listed
for sale. According to statistics, professionally staged
homes sell more quickly and are on the market for less time.
Your first price reduction will be far more than the cost
of staging your home.
Why can’t I
stage my own home?
Most
sellers think they can stage their own home. What they fail
to take into consideration is that they’ve become
emotionally attached to their homes, and justifiably so.
This attachment prevents them from seeing their home
objectively. You need a professional stager to view your
home through “buyer’s eyes”. We will tell you, honestly,
about the wonderful focal points that can be enhanced as
well as the negative aspects to be downplayed.
Why can’t
buyers just use their imagination?
Only
about 10% of buyers have the ability to imagine how a home
would look with their furnishings and accessories or see the
hidden potential in a room. Staging is what you do after
you've cleaned, decluttered, painted, and made minor
repairs. A professional home stager dresses the house for
sale by creating space, rearranging, accessorizing, and
depersonalizing your rooms so that buyers can picture their
family living in your home. It’s about adding the small
details…the jewelry…to add just the right sparkle.
Isn’t Home
Staging expensive?
For the
most part, home staging is about using what you have. I may
bring in accessories, but I work within your budget so your
home is show-house ready. I have many staging options for
you to choose from, and I’m positive you’ll find one that
fits your needs.
